Week of December 3

Christmas Anticipation!

Our Pre-K Music Makers

Our Pre-K students are continuing to enjoy Christmas and Advent songs, activities and poems during music class.  We have been having fun with some Christmas carols as well. We always love a good play along.  Here we are enjoying Rocking Around the Christmas Tree.

The hard work for our Christmas show continues! The children are becoming comfortable being on stage and singing.  We are working hard for our big night on Monday, December 17 and Grandparents Day on the 18th.

Our Nursery Music Makers

As we finish up our Fiddle semester, we are having fun and learning lots in our music class.
Mississippi Cats has been a class favorite this semester.  It is a great rhythmic chant with a swing beat and the children love the scatting.  Check out the video below.

We are also preparing for our Nursery world premier at Grandparents Day.  We were on stage for the first time this week to practice our songs for Grandparents Day.  The children were so excited and impressed by being on stage.  We will continue our practices on stage so we can wow all of our grandparents on Grandparent's Day.

Music Together At Home

I am so pleased that so many of you can attend our Family Music Event this coming Tuesday, December 11 at 3:30 p.m. in the MPR.  To date, we have 45 people attending, including: moms, dads, brothers, sisters, grandparents, teachers and of course our Nursery students.  If you have not responded to the evite, it's not too late.  Here is the link to the invitation  http://evite.me/bcnKrjCxmj
We hope to see you there.  The more we have, the merrier the music making will be!
