Featuring our Nursery and Pre-K music makers
As we move into October we are continuing with our fall fun in music class. We have begun singing and chanting fall songs and playing musical games with fall themes.
In our Nursery and Pre-K music classes we move to the beat of the music in a variety of ways. We clap, march, walk, jump and dance. We vary the beat from the micro beat (small beat) to the macro beat (large beat) and vice versa. This helps develop each child's sense of rhythm throughout his/her body. In the Nursery pictures below we are jumping to the beat of a fall chant entitled Fall.
Our Pre-K class is especially enjoying all the fall songs and games. The children have been learning the ever popular Five Little Pumpkins. Below is a video of a small part of the song.
